DC Water utility relocations on the 100 blocks of T St NW & RI Ave NW

This message and PDF are posted at the Eckington list at Google Groups.

See the 2nd page of the PDF below.   The 100 blocks of T St NW and Rhode Island Avenue NW in Bloomingdale are impacted.

Good afternoon, Civic Association Leaders.

I am following Emanuel Briggs' email (below) to Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners in Ward 5 to introduce myself. I am the public outreach coordinator for the DC Water Northeast Boundary Tunnel Utility Relocation Project. You are receiving my email because your civic association and the MPD 5th District covers the area of the utility relocations. Please see the attachments.

During the next 17 months, the approximate length of the project, I will be available to you and your constituents to update you on the construction schedule, activities, and impacts. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know and I will work with the project team to address them. I'm also available to attend your civic association meetings to share information directly with your neighbors.

My contact information is below. Please feel free to email me or give me a call and I look forward to meeting each of you.

Greetings ANCs 5B, 5C & 5E:
In preparation for construction of the Northeast Boundary Tunnel (NEBT) Project, DC Water will be working to relocate existing water, sewer, gas, electric and communication services at the following locations:
·         Rhode Island Avenue, NE at the intersections with 4th Street, NE and 8th Place, NE
·         Mt. Olivet Road, NE, north of West Virginia Avenue, NE and also near Mt. Olivet Cemetery
·         Rhode Island Avenue, NW at R Street, NW, T Street, NW and Florida Avenue, NW

The relocation of these services along the future tunnel alignment is critical for successful completion of the project.
This work is scheduled to start in June 2016 and continue for approximately 17 months. Please be advised that these will be moving construction activities and will not be going on in your immediate area throughout the duration of the work. Following this initial notice, you will be receiving further updates including anticipated start dates and duration of work in your area. Please see normal work hours for each location, lane closures, map of each work location and other important information on the attached notices. The notices are also being hand delivered to properties throughout the affected areas in order to ensure this information is thoroughly disseminated.
Thanks much for your time, and please let us know of any questions, comments or concerns.
