Good evening,

PSA 501 Officers will continue to deploy in the PSA on foot, mountain bike, and patrol vehicles.  The Officers proactively patrol all areas of the PSA in addition to handling 911 calls for service.  Additionally, PSA Officers are placed on special beats determined by crime trends in the area.  There is a lot of planning and coordination that goes into deploying officers in the PSA between 3 different shifts, as each shift has different crime trends.

In the future, if you witness a crime, please call 911 and provide the information to include a lookout of the individual(s), so Officers can be dispatched to the area.  You can remain anonymous when calling.

Lieutenant Verna

I understand that the MPD is over at the BP now - thank you for starting to deal with this! Greatly appreciated!

What about the BP that seems to be nobody's problem due to being on the border of two districts? I think I have mentioned this as a problem in recent crime spikes and have been given assurances that it is being dealt with but this afternoon I watched as one of my local dealers held his normal perch without a care in the world in the back of the BP...has anyone called the owner and asked for the ability to move folks off of the property? And when the crowd moves - putting a car next to the "BBQ joint" (that never seems to have food for sale) on the corner...

Thank you for responding and glad you are paying attention but this seems to be out of control - were the kids you busted in possession of anything that ties them to the robberies? If not what is the plan moving forward?

Not trying to be a jerk but would very much love to hear where all of these resources were Friday/Saturday and how you intend to deal with the 501 PSA moving forward because it seems like the gun robberies have moved from Flagler down to Bloomingdale.

I have stopped using this station due to this mess and the poor condition of the station. I just emailed BP and posted this pages link, so maybe they can reach the owner.
