Subject: FST: Utility Work on Adams Street NW

Good morning, Adams Street Residents.

SKJD is installing a 12-inch water main line on the 100 block of Adams Street NW.  This work will take up to 6 weeks.  Impacts include trucks intermittently using and blocking access to the alleys north and south of Adams Street.

For the alley north of Adams Street, please access it by using the Bryant Street entrance and the Adams Street eastern entrance near First Street.

For the alley south of Adams Street, the alternative access locations are at 2nd Street and W Street.

We are working with the Department of Public Works to assure that trash trucks can access the alleys. We are also stationing flaggers at the alley entrances to mobilize and remove MOT as necessary. We will notify FEMS of any blockings to the fire truck clearways

Please be aware that there are additional contractors working on neighbors’ homes, who have several trucks staged in that alley.  While we will do our best to prevent them from blocking the alley, we have no control over private contractors.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your continued cooperation as we work to complete the First Street Tunnel.
