Subject: FST: Alley Blockings on 100 Block of Adams Street NW TODAY
Dear
Adams Street Residents,
Alley Blockings on 100 Block of Adams Street NW TODAY
As
a reminder, SKJD is installing a 12-inch water line on the
100 block of Adams Street NW. Impacts include trucks intermittently using and blocking
access to the alleys north and south of Adams Street.
Today,
September 23, 2016, the alleys will be blocked for utility work from 7:00 am to
5:00 pm.
For
the alley north of Adams Street, you may access it by using the Bryant Street
entrance and the Adams Street eastern entrance near First Street. For the alley
south of Adams Street, the alternative access locations are at 2nd Street and W
Street.
We
are also stationing flaggers at the alley entrances to mobilize and remove
Maintenance of Traffic plans as necessary. We will
notify DC Fire and EMS Department of any access changes to the fire truck
clearways.
Parking Restrictions on 100 Block of Adams Street NW
Because
of the utility work, we have posted parking restriction signage on the 100
block of Adams Street, as well. The restriction duration period is from
September 26, 2016, thru October 28, 2016; Monday through Friday; from 7:00 am
to 5:00 pm. The duration period on the posted signs was incorrectly dated,
stating restrictions begin on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. The signs have
been corrected.
Weekend Work on 100 Block of Adams Street
NW
This Saturday, September 24th
between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, utility work will be done by Fort Myer Construction
Company. Fort Myer will continue working on Monday, September 26th,
between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. Residents should expect vibrations and noise,
which will be monitored to reduce impacts.
