You're all invited to join the All Nations Baptist Church Family, in our Community Health Fair, Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 10am to 4pm.  Please join us!  We have planned some exciting activities for the entire family.  Come to All Nations Baptist Church and get your health check-up; we're located at 2001 North Capitol Street, NE, Washington, DC.  The following elected officials have confirmed their attendance:

  • American Diabetes Association, with give-aways and educational support;  
  • NIH National Digestive Disease & Kidney Center has agreed to provide literature;
  • DC Department of Health has confirmed  free HIV/AIDS test, results the same day;  
  • Washington Hospital Center will provide the hearing and the trauma center services;  
  • Howard University Hospital is working with the trauma center;  
  • CareFirst Blue Cross will be present with give-aways for the entire family;  
  • DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services will give free blood pressure and diabetes testing;
  • Life Within, featuring Lareece Long, licensed lymphatic discussion and colon health; 
  • UnitedHealthCare is coming to share their services and to do testing;
  • Chartered Health/AmeriHealth is bringing a team of medical staff to provide Body/Mass/Index; Diabetes Testing/Glucose; High Blood Pressure & Cholesterol Testing; give-aways; and they're providing speakers for the panel of workshops;
  • Dr. Keita Vanterpool is a Chiropractor from Ward 8, and she's coming to share her healthy cooking recipe's;
  • Genevieve Johnson Senior Day Care Center has a table with a Registered Nurse to discuss Alzheimer and Dementia;  
  • HealthyBites is a new organic restaurant , they will provide free samples of food items sold at the restaurant;
  •  Workshop Highlights:  Hear about President Obama's Plan B Legislation; Is Medical Marijuana biblical; Mind, Body & Soul; Baby Boomers, Make the Change; Cancer Survivors; Domestic Violence Survivors; Life After Diabetes; plus much, more; 
  • News Media has been invited; and we want you to come out to join us, especially if you or someone you know and love needs a quick check-up, because they are living without health insurance!
  • Live, Gospel Entertainment throughout the day, by Solomon Sparrow; featuring St. James Community Choir; Praise & Worship Singers; God's Miracles; Mime Sermonettes; and Liturgical Dancers.   
  • Enjoy a day of Health Education and Awareness; Free Health Screenings; Workshops and Gospel Entertainment. 
We must first come to believe in the way of life we're living, and then we have to stir ourselves (discipline ourselves) to put our new lifestyle into practice.
