Thanks for taking the time to peruse permits on this snowy Tuesday:

3523 12th St. NE: From the owner of Bloomingdale's Rustik Tavern, Diton Pasha, renovations will commence on this Brookland building for a new restaurant with 122 interior seats — 57 on the first floor and 65 on the second. A summer garden outside the second floor will seat another 14, with room for 69 people to stand. Per The Brookland Bridge Blog, the restaurant will be called Steel Plate (h/t @barredindc).

639 Florida Ave. NW: New full-service restaurant, Ching, will seat 21 on the first floor, 29 on the second floor and 34 more on a roof deck. The tavern/restaurant will serve Thai and Asian cuisine.
