I hope you had an opportunity to read Anne’s message on Saturday. Her words reflect what I’ve heard in the community for many years – that there is a real desire to bring the fences down and create something that is both useful and beautiful. I live west of the McMillan site, in Ward One, and as a neighbor in the greater community, like you, I have long wished for the day when everyone can enjoy all of the things the site has to offer. I look forward to a day when I can meet up with friends in Bloomingdale and enjoy a drink at a restaurant or hang out in the park. I look forward to seeing children playing in the play and spray grounds, and people enjoying the Olmsted Walk. This vision is close to reality thanks to all your work and support. And now, we ask that you will take one more step and show your support by attending TOMORROW’S final McMillan Zoning Hearing.
