STEM classes are in full swing since the first day of school. Some of our classes have dealt with our bees and honey production. The students reviewed the life cycle of bees and their life in the hive. Our scholars watched from the library as I pulled full honey frames from the hive. The next class assisted in extracting the honey from the comb with our new extractor pictured below. We were able to fund the purchase with a grant we received from the University of Minnesota at St. Paul.
