From stormwater ponds to transformational, 3 million-square-foot projects, the District has nearly 50 economic development initiatives in various stages ongoing throughout the city. This week, the D.C. government unleashed a helpful website to keep up with the work.
The pipeline project data tracks every project — whether an active solicitation, awarded, in negotiation, under construction or completed. Easily sortable by ward, the database provides project names, addresses, status, selected developer, type of development and square footage per use, the city's project manager, and estimated construction start and end dates.

Capitol St. NW).
The District is in negotiations with development teams on eight more projects, including the Grimke School, McMillan, Skyland Town Center, St. Elizabeths East, Walter Reed, 965 Florida Ave. NW, and the proposed hotel-convention center at Michigan Avenue and Irving Street NE, which we detailed last week.
