Hi Bloomingdale Friends,
As we approach the holidays,
you may be thinking to yourself one of the following questions:
- "DO I ACTUALLY HAVE TO COOK THINGS?!"
- "I don't have a pie pan. HELP!?"
- "I love baking pie. But...I could always use more pie...?!"
- "Gotta catch 'em all, ALL THE PIES!"
· Buy your pie before 11/16
· Pick up your pie on 11/21 from the location closest to you // if you have concerns about picking up your pie, chat with me, i got you
· Bring pie to event and be loved (you can even claim you made it yourself!)
· Consume pie <-- best="" span="" step="">-->
Flavors include:
- Spiced Pumpkin
- Apple Pie
- Sweet Potato
- Nutty Pecan
- American Airlines Sky Pie <--- but="" chocolate="" idk="" it="" liquor="" s="" so...="" span="">--->
For each pie that you buy, you'll be sending a meal to a real human in DC (aka
your neighbor!) who is suffering from a terminal/disabling illness that makes
it difficult to get out of the house, go to the grocery store, and make healthy
meals.
I have spent time in Food
& Friends kitchen -- they are an incredible group of staff and volunteers
that pour a lot of love and consideration into the meals, which are designed to
be super duper healthy AND delicious for these fine folks.
So, a final appeal: please
consider purchasing your Thanksgiving* pie from them. While I
know $28 might seem hefty for a pie, you're really doing so much more than
that...and the tasty dessert is just the whipped cream on top!**
Thanks for considering! And
please feel free to forward to coworkers, friends, enemies, and whatnot.
Corrine
*not required to eat for Thanksgiving
-- also perfectly delicious eaten alone, while binge watching Crazy Ex
Girlfriend and/or sports.
**really sorry about this
joke, couldn't help myself.
