Zone 5 resident only parking signage erected on the 100 block of Seaton Place NW, north side
A resident on the 100 block of Seaton Place NW, northside, advised me that DDOT just erected new signage on the northside of that block that reserves parking seven days a week 7 am to midnight for Zone 5 sticker displayers.
Following on the identical signage erected on the unit block of R Street NW a while ago.
So patrons of the local businesses should take note.

Are there any other blocks in Bloomingdale that are actively pursuing resident permit only parking??
Congratulations to Seaton Place for their successful quest. I have mixed feelings about enhanced RPP, but it is nice to see that DDOT respects the majority of the block's residents.
However, not just with this block, but with other areas as well (North Capitol Street, for example) - is there anything to indicate to visitors to the neighborhood that the parking restrictions have changed? I know when I visit a block that I am familiar with, I don't check the signs each time I go there to see if they have changed.
Also, it will be interesting to see if there is late evening and weekend enforcement for restaurant and church visitors.
Has anyone from R Street shared their thoughts on their new parking regulations? Hope someone from Seaton Place will let us know how it works for them.
This is Awesome. Can we please get these along 1st Street, too? How does one go about starting this process? Is it block by block only, or can we go bigger with a part of Bloomingdale? These are a PITA when I want to park near 14th street, but I see that they really do protect the space for those who are paying high taxes to live there.
We need more of these signs throughout Bloomingdale, especially with the increased traffic at the corner stores, new bars and restaurants.
I wouldn't mind seeing this happen for the unit block of Seaton. It's now pretty much a crapshoot around the 5:30-8:00 PM in trying to find parking coming home from work. Plenty of Yoga and restaurant drivers. And you can forget about finding parking after 10PM. Don't get me wrong. I'm very happy with the development of our neighborhood, but just as the post above states, would like to see some of the same parking regulations put in place for our tax dollars. :)
I wouldn't hold your breath for church enforcement. Full email chain is in Scott Roberts email dated Mon, Jun 10, 2013 at 11:13 AM, but in summary Commander Andy Solberg emailed is the following:
"It is not accurate that we do not ticket cars on Sundays. We do. In some case, we relax enforcement near houses of worship, though this is only during hours of worship, and not just on Sundays. The bars and restaurants, they’re a different story. If businesses are making money in the community and their customers are taking up valuable parking spots, I think they should shoulder at least part of the burden of making parking available for residents."
