ANC 5E votes on a McMillan community benefits agreement document; to be presented at this Tuesday's McMillan Zoning Hearing #5

After many grueling hours, several residents in attendance agreed and ANC5E Commissioners, voted on a CBA document to be presented to the Zoning Commission.  The CBA approved by ANC5E includes input from the Civic Associations, MAG, and many resident; and totals over $11 million dollars, compared to Vision McMillan Partners (Developers) offer of $3,985,000, which their partners will present at the hearing. 
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      
ANC5E will present their Community Benefits Agreement at the Zoning Commission Hearing on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 441 4th Street, N. W., 2nd floor hearing room to start at 6:30pm.  For further information, support ANC5E, by joining and supporting our community at this scheduled hearing.  The ANC 5E Agreement includes a Community Center, Park and Playground, a shuttle to McMillan for the Truxton Circle and Bloomingdale area, scholarships and Stem funds for Neighborhood Schools, Neighborhood beautification, Additional affordable housing units, Storefront  Improvement Grants, Medical facilities, and a Construction Management Plan, etc.  Don't sit on the fence, get involved.

Uh....can we see it before it's presented to the Zoning commission? T

Ok..... so a few questions that I'm sure need to be answered given the history on this thing:

1) Where is the document and will it be reviewed/approved by the various community associations before going to the Zoning commission? BCA? SCA? MAG? That's the usual process and without that i cannot see how you can say that you have a document that represents the community.

2) Who are the members of the community and the MAG in particular that participated? I am asking because I"m on the MAG park committee and nobody asked me to participate even though i played a big part in drafting the MAG's original CBA. I would like a list of names and affiliations to the various community associations.

Sorry, but unless these things are made public, I just don't understand how you can say these folks are negotiating on behalf of the community. We know that VMP has stacked the ANC5E in their favor and so transparency needs to be full to gain the trust of the people. Just saying that you had a few community members, a MAG member or two and ANC5E isn't enough...sorry.
