About the Event:
We are an interfaith community that celebrates Divine Presence within us and everywhere. Our number one goal is to embody Divine Presence through ourselves individually and together within this community and in the world. In the SRC, all are embraced in the heart of God as we seek to advance on the path of Self-Realization through Unconditional Love.
We gather on 2nd and 4th Sunday in D.C. of every month to celebrate life by chanting, singing, dancing, meditating, reading, blessing children, sharing, praying and more. All are welcome - singles, families, LGBTQ.
We draw our main premises from four different religious traditions:
- Buddhism - practicing non-attachment as the path to inner serenity and peace;
- Vedanta Hinduism - seeking the path to Self-Realization through unconditional love;
- Judeo-Christian - loving God with one's whole self, and loving one's neighbor as one's self;
- Tantra - elevating the Sacred Feminine as equal to and in harmony with the Sacred Masculine, and Sacredness is everywhere.
Our Co-Creators are seven honored Ascended Masters: Mother Mary, Paramahansa Yogananda, Jesus Christ, Mary Magdalene, Lord Buddha, High Priest Melchizedek, and Lady Quan Yin.
Our Founding Cleric is "Nonnie" Rev. Carol Richardson, M.Div., M.P.H. Nonnie Carol's primary role is as guru-doula: to empower each of us to see and to give birth to the Divine within ourselves, both individually and together in this community. Nonnie Carol invites you to connect and be a part of the SRC, as part of the embodiment of Divine Love in this world!

About Samsara House 2023, (est. 2013)
* "Samsara House 2023" at 36 R Street NW is an Awareness-based shared space where world-shifting communities are meshworked to experience and spread what's emerging. Samsara House 2023 rapidly prototypes models for the new world to ignite a planetary revolution in consciousness within ten years.
Samsara House 2023’s strategy is to exemplify a gift-economy over the market economy, one that values giving over having. While all events cost at least one dollar to cover utilities, any additional contribution will go towards periodically giving half back to a socially responsible organization or cause in need that you also help identify. Going together as a river, we build a thriving community of communities and pave the way for a new world. Samsara House 2023 is a Holacracy powered organization founded by Cullen Kowalski at a row house in Bloomingdale, New Washington, D.C.
You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete. ~ Buckminster Fuller
Be the change you wish to see in the world. ~ Gandhi
