Pharmacy Students Launch Health Fair for LeDroit
Park Seniors
|

|
|
The Office of Off-Campus Housing and Community
Engagement (OCHCE) and the Howard University Community
Association (HUCA) in conjunction with the students of the
Student National Pharmaceutical Association- Howard University
College of Pharmacy Chapter, held a Health Fair at the LeDroit
Park Seniors Apartment. This event was held on Thursday,
March 24. Over 35+ LeDroit Park residents attended and
participated in the numerous health screenings and health
education information sessions. The information sessions
focused on health related issues such as hypertension, diabetes,
and drug education for the elderly population. Pharmacy
students and staff were interested in making this an annual event
and teaming up with students from other health science schools
and colleges to bring similar services to seniors and families in
the area.
