The Armed Forces Retirement Home has canceled plans to let a private developer convert the historic
Grant Building on its Northwest D.C. campus into an assisted living
facility, an initiative launched to generate additional revenue for the
self-funded, executive branch agency.

The decision to cancel the LOI does not impact
the AFRH's pending request for proposals to developers to redevelop an 80-acre
portion of its 272-acre campus by North Capitol and Irving streets NW. That
process that has been delayed due to the federal shutdown but is expected
to advance to the selection stage later this spring.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: 2019 Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon
(Washington,
DC)- The Metropolitan Police Department wishes to advise the public that the 2019
Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon is scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 9,
2019. In order to facilitate this event, there will be no vehicular
traffic allowed along the routes of the race.
The
race is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:30 am; however some street
closures will begin as early as 2:00 am. All streets affected by
this event are expected to be reopened at approximately 3:00 pm.
The
public should expect parking restrictions along the street and should be guided
by the posted emergency no parking signage. All vehicles that are parked
in violation of the emergency no parking signs will be ticketed and towed.

So, yeah, plenty. So you got questions about, like, a lot.

Now, mind you, neither are medical professionals: Shawn's the owner and co-founder of The Unified Scene Theater, a teacher of improv comedy, holds an MA in English Lit, is an honorably discharged member of the United State Air Force, and was once married to a woman nearly 17 years older than he. John doesn't have an advanced degree, but before you get all hoity-toity with the book learnin', know that he's accomplished a lot in his life: he runs his own business; he's the brainchild behind Papa's Basement, DC's premier comedy podcast; and, finally, he's managed to circumnavigate various local judicial systems champing at the bit to serve him multiple bench warrants. So, yeah, you can act on that advice at your own discretion.
In short, they've got problems, too. And theirs might pale in comparison to yours, putting your own in perspective. And you might laugh and feel better. At the very least it'll be fun.
