***TRAFFIC ADVISORY***
Lane Closures on Rhode Island Avenue Begin May 18, 2013
Closures to Accommodate Surface Water Management Project, Last Until August 2013
(Washington, D.C.) The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close the left lane in both directions of the 100 block of Rhode Island Avenue, NW to facilitate infrastructure improvements as part of the Bloomingdale Surface Water Management Project. These lane closures are scheduled to last from Saturday, May 18, 2013 to Friday, August 23, 2013.
The lane closures are needed to install a large storm sewer that will reduce the amount of standing surface water that accumulates during heavy rainfalls. During this period, the right lane will also be periodically closed to allow the installation of storm drains and storm sewer pipes.
Traffic control signs will be in place to guide travelers through the corridor during this project. Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists are urged to stay alert and use caution when traveling by the work zone.
For more information please contact Public Outreach Coordinator Chancee` Lundy at 202-630-9353 or clundy@nspiregreen.com.

Is everyone ready for these lane closures?
Won't it affect commuters more than us?
Maybe some of those commuters will go back to NYAve. Is that almost finished?
