Hey, Bloomingdale residents and devotees!

Here is what you are doing today (thanks to Bloomingdale resident Dennis Anderson for coordinating today's beautification/clean-up event!):

Bloomingdale Business District Beautification Day

When: Saturday, Nov. 5th 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

(Rain Date: Sunday, Nov. 6th 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM)

Where: Meet at 1st and T St. NW in front of Rustik Tavern

What: The Bloomingdale Civic Association is seeking volunteers to help us spruce up Bloomingdale's Central Business District! Come out and join your neighbors in new tree box plantings, mulching, cleaning up trash and leaves, and generally improving the feel of our ``Main Street.``

All plants and materials and light refreshments will be provided, however donations are gladly accepted to help offset costs.

Just-Added Incentive for Participants: This just in... Boundary Stone is offering a complimentary Yuengling, Miller Lite or soft drink to anyone who participates in Saturday`s Business District Beautification event. Thanks to the guys at Boundary Stone for their support!

Neighbors, This past weekend the Bloomingdale Civic Association hosted its annual Clean Up Day. The BCA Beautification Committee Chair, Dennis Anderson, and the rest of the committee did an incredible job organizing this year`s event. On behalf of the BCA, I would like to extend a huge thank you to the neighbors who participated. I would also like to express our appreciation to the following businesses and organizations for their support: Big Bear Cafe, City Cleaners, DPW, North Capitol Main Street; The Clean Team, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Rustik Tavern and Dennis Anderson`s construction company (unfortunately, I do not have the proper name of Dennis` business).
