Monday night BACA meeting agenda revised: no medical marijuana dispensary presentation -- to be rescheduled

Geovani Bonilla, president of the Bates Area Civic Association (BACA), just released a revised agenda for tomorrow night's BACA meeting.

"The Medical Marijuana cultivation center application deadline has been pushed back, and as a result, so has the dispensary application process. Mr. David Guard has asked to reschedule his presentation regarding the Medical Marijuana Dispensary to be located at 1300 N. Capitol St. NW . This is an issue we will be staying on top of though."

BACA Flower Power Walk & Reception: Saturday, 06/25/2011

Bates Area Civic Association President Geovani Bonilla has asked me to post the upcoming BACA Flower Power event:

FLOWER POWER 2011 WALK AND RECEPTION, SATURDAY, JUNE 25

Friends and Neighbors,
It is time to enjoy the warmth and wonderful plants, flowers and colors of our Nation’s Capital. We invite you to be a part of our neighborhood garden walk and reception.

During the neighborhood walk, you will see some of the best gardening in our community and experience the different styles and architecture of our homes. You will be invited to neighbor’s front and back yards to see the great garden each home has to offer.

At the end of walk, you will vote on your favorite yards and help select the best in each category. Of course, it is summer, so a reception will follow. The reception will give you the opportunity to meet new neighbors and catch up with old ones.

When: Saturday, June 25, 2011
4pm – 5:30pm Garden Walk
5:30pm – 6:30pm Reception

Where: Walk will originate at the Florida Avenue and First St. Park Wine and Cheese Reception will be held at 1500 First St. NW

Tickets are $10 each. For tickets, you may contact: Geovani Bonilla at 202-255-3312
