Mother Dear's Community Center Gospel Summer Camp seeks donations

This post centers upon a not-for-profit group that was formerly located in LeDroit Park at 467 Florida Avenue NW (now a Pizzario's Pizza place).

Mother Dear's Community Center used to own the building, but then had to sell the building and rent it out.  Eventually, Mother Dear's needed to leave the space and it relocated to 1235 Van Buren Place NW.

Mother Dear's used to have used clothing on racks in front of the building on occasion and had classes of sorts for youth in its first floor space. There was also an annual community event around the corner of 5th Street NW off Florida Avenue NW.  (I may be stumbling along with questionable accuracy, so LeDroit Park neighbors are welcome to weigh in here.)

One event that Mother Dear's Community Center coordinated was the annual Gospel Summer Camp, which  typically included trips out of town.

One of the board of directors is Carolyn Marshall.  She has sent out a three-page info and donation solicitation letter that I have provided below.  So if you want to provide some assistance to the Mother Dear's Community Center Gospel Summer Camp, then please do so!  Carolyn Marshall and the summer participants would be greatly appreciative.
