Subject: MEETING OF BLOOMINGDALE VILLAGE SQUARE PROJECT

At our last meeting, discussion focused on various logistical and technical issues related to oral interviews (e.g, coordination of videographers to ensure a unified product (s); number, type and uses of oral history tapes and related editing requirements; need for a coordinating or chief videographer & editor, guidelines re personal presentation of interviewees, framing, background;
needed resources etc.)
A similar discussion occurred related to the project's design/streetscaping/landscaping effort (e.g., , guidance/vision to be provided to design teams e.g. reference the past and future of Bloomingdale, beautify and add function, create a sense of 'place' for all, include public art & sculpture -- esp. on RI median;, individual design efforts vs. collaborative/coordinated efforts and at what points in the design effort; timing and process for community input/ comment on proposed designs; need to clarify ownership of park parcels and process for gaining control and/or permission to landscape/streetscape; needed skills and resources, etc.)
