I testified and found a check on the Council Chamber floor from Jeffrey Thompson, made out for $1 million to "pay to play, DC City Council"..I assured Kenyan McDuffie it wasn't for him! I said to the group from VMP, they didn't need to bother with hearings, they could just buy the City Council.
