On
today’s date at approximately 0830 a man drove to the unit block of
62 Todd Street NE and dropped his girlfriend and child off at Elementary
School. As the girlfriend and child entered the school the man
waited in his vehicle. While waiting for her return a gold colored
Lexus approached and as the Lexus slowed the driver lowered his window and
fired several gun shots. The man ran into the school and waited for the
arrival of MPD and DCFEMS. The man suffered from a single gunshot wound
that to his arm and slight bullet graze to his stomach. The victim was
conscious as he was transported to local area hospital for treatment. At this
point the incident is believed to be domestic in nature the description stands
for a black male with a beard driving a gold color Lexus.
The
school has remained open and no one additional suffered injury.
