Welcome back to BFM on Sunday May 22st for the reopening of our 16th season.


So what will we have?  LOTS of sweet sweet strawberries, of course.  But also one of my all time faves: Chinese Sprouting Broccoli-- a farmers market find at Shenandoah and Garner.  Easy to cook: Slice them, stir fry in hot oil flavored with ginger, garlic and a hot chile, then add a bit of water and steam fry covered until crisp-tender. Here are some other recipes: with Oyster Sauce.. Steamed with Chile, Lime and Sesame.

Annuals, perennials and starter herbs for your gardens and patios and balconies --for sun and shade. Geraniums. 


Did I mention lots of Strawberries? lots of Asparagus. Cucumbers. Head Lettuces. Swiss Chard. Spinach, Arugula. Salad Mix, Collards. Bok Choy. Baby beets, Red and Candy. Broccoli, Napa Cabbages.
