It's a little too early to tell at this point, but so far it definitely looks like the addition does not step back away from the traditional facade enough which makes it feel out of context. However, the window openings are consistent with those below and the high parapet may indicate some traditional decoration. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
incredibly poorly designed and executed. you can tell the windows were not measured just by looking at the picture. the righthand window is about 4 inches away from the outside wall whereas the lefthand window is probably more than a foot away from the left wall. the middle window is also closer to the right window than it is to the left. this is terrible. where are the city's third-party insepctors? someone needs to call this in.
congratulations! the facade looks great. Admitedly, I was nervous, but it really looks nice and we look forward to seeing what goes in. Now...if only the firehouse and the capital market would get their acts together and improve N. Capital street.

Horrible! It undermines the historic character of North Capitol Street.
ridiculous. but still hopeful that it will look good once it is complete. We heard that a wine bar was going in the first level. Has anyone any info.
Borf? I think that's going to have to be barf at this point.

https://twitter.com/jtedc/status/89118901933314048 check out facade moved up. Actually quite good. Anyone know intended use of this space yet?
