Director Howland,

On behalf of the residents in Bloomingdale impacted by the First Street Tunnel project, I want to extend my thanks to you for working alongside my team to remedy the street sweeping violation tickets that were issued in error.

I also appreciate that you have agreed to attend the upcoming Bloomingdale Civic Association meeting to hear the community’s concerns about this issue. As you know, many residents are divided on the street sweeping issue, as some residents want it continued, while others want it suspended.
We look forward to continuing to work closely with your office, as well as ANC Commissioner Austin Pearl, ANC Commissioner Teri Janine Quinn, and ANC Commissioner Bertha Holliday to ensure that residents impacted by the construction of the First Street Tunnel Project are aware of the efforts to alleviate the issuing of these citations.

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you again for your immediate attention to this matter.
