Come join us to unveil the new LeDroit Park-Bloomingdale Heritage Trail today at 11 am at the Park at LeDroit (3rd & Elm Sts).  The event is free and features 
  • Derek McGinty, former WUSA9 news anchor, as our emcee
  • Musical performances by the Howard Gospel Choir, including "Lift Every Voice and Sing"
  • A reading by poet E. Ethelbert Miller
  • Reflections by Frank Smith, founder of the African American Civil War Memorial and Museum 
  • Mini-tours of historic sites in LeDroit Park and Bloomingdale
