Trinity
Sunday
May
30, 2021
Trinity Sunday, officially called
"The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity," is one of the
few celebrations of the Christian Year that commemorates a
reality and doctrine rather than a person or event. On Trinity
Sunday, Christians remember and honor the eternal God: the
Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Trinity Sunday is
celebrated the Sunday after Pentecost, and lasts only one day,
which is symbolic of the unity of the Trinity. Common
wisdom is that if you discuss the Trinity for longer than a few
minutes, you will slip into heresy, because you are probing the
depths of God too deeply. The Trinity is best described in the
Nicene Creed.
Almighty and everlasting God, you have given to us
your servants grace, by the confession of a true
faith, to
acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and
in the
power of your divine Majesty to worship the Unity:
Keep
us steadfast in this faith and worship, and bring
us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory, O Father;
who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, for
ever and ever. Amen.

Regathering News
Outdoor 7:30 Service: On Sunday, June 6, 2021 we will begin to hold
an outdoor Eucharist. We will continue to wear masks and
maintain social distancing. All are welcome.
Indoor Regathering: We are working with St. Luke's and Calvary to
provide a date when we will regather in person. As you know we
have grown into a shared community and we are prayerfully
discerning how we continue in together in community even as we
plan in the near future to worship in our own spaces.

Remembering Mott School
Do you remember the Mott School
in LeDroit Park? Our group (from New Community Church in Shaw)
would like to collect oral histories about the school -- people
who went to the school, taught at the school, or who simply
remember the Mott School's place in the neighborhood (maybe you
have a parent who went there and have memories of what they told
you about going there?). The stories of LeDroit Park and its
history of segregation is so important for us to remember--please
help us to record these stories for future generations! Please
contact Aiyana Adams at MottOralHistory@gmail.com. (Funded by HumanitiesDC and supported by the DC
Oral History Collaborative.)

Outreach:
Serving the Community

Kwanzaa Kitchen: Janis has
been able to come up with a unique way in which we will continue
to feed the hungry in this important ministry. It involves fewer
than 6 people and we will pack the food to go and place it
outside on tables for people to take their breakfast with them.
We will continue this way until we are able to gather groups
together again.

Hi everyone, I saw comments from people who had already got their loan from Anderson Loan Finance. Honestly, I thought it was a scam, and then I decided to make a request based on their recommendations. A few days ago, I confirmed in my personal bank account amounting to $15,000 dollars which I applied for. This is really a good news and I am so very happy that I advise all those who need a real loan and who are sure to reimburse to apply through their email (text or call) +1 719 629 0982. There are sincere loan lenders! They are capable to lend you a loan. Contact Mr Anderson E-mail: andersonraymondloanfinance@gmail.com
