To Representatives of the Bloomingdale Community Association:
I am writing to make sure you and your association members are kept up to date about the development of parks and public open space in NoMa.  I am working with the NoMa Parks Foundation to help organize some community meetings they will be having over the next few months about the many different parks and public art projects that are being developed throughout the NoMa neighborhood.   These new parks and open public spaces are potentially important amenities for all of the communities near NoMa and we want you to be included in discussions about them.  We are having a community meeting called NoMa Parks Community Conversations on Thursday evening, June 18thand hope that you and perhaps some other representatives of the Bloomingdale Civic Association will be able to attend.  Attached is a flyer that gives basic information about the nature and purpose of this community gathering.
As you will see, the meeting is not far you at the Marriot Hotel on 2nd NE and it will begin with a free meal available at 6:00 PM.  After that, there will be a short community meeting starting at 6:30 that gives an update on the parks plan and will allow neighbors to talk together about the great improvements that will be happening in the neighborhood over the next few months and years.  I know that the existence of parks, open space and art projects in NoMa is important to your community and we want you to stay abreast of all the developments that will be taking place.
I hope some members of your group will plan to come on Thursday evening, June 18th and that you will also share this information widely with those in your organization who may be interested.  It is important for us to have representatives from Bloomingdale at the meeting and I hope you and/or others will be able to join us. I will follow up later to make sure you have received this invitation and, in the meantime, please feel free to send me an email or give me a call if you have any questions or need more information.
Best regards,
Theo Brown
