None of the comments on the flooding have mentioned that the unit block of R Street was without all or most power from Sunday evening until Monday evening. I know that it is not as bad as having your home flooded, but it was apparently a result of the flooding. I spoke with the electrical engineer trying to restore our power and he said that the problem was caused by the weight of the water which collapsed the pipe containing the electrical line. They has temporarily rerouted the lines which has temporarily restored the power to something less than 100%. Just thought this should be added to the list of concerns regarding DC Water.
