Couldn't recommend the Brighter Days Collective more. It's a worker-owned co-op, the walkers have health insurance, and they're a friendly bunch who schedule by email and accept PayPal.

Highly rec Independent Buddies. Small, woman run operation. The owner, Min Min Oo, took great care of my boy when I went on a trip and he was upset after a move. He wouldn't eat, so she cooked chicken and rice and brought it over to him; took a pix of him eating and e-mailed it to me so I wouldn't worry. Have had service for nearly 3 years.

Daily walks or long-term stays. No kennels. Dogs stay at her place so they aren't confined to a cage. Or, leave the dog at home and they will come by while you're out of town.

She responds day or night by phone/email.

Highly recommend Chris Allen with DCPuppyP (http://www.dcpuppypt.com/). Chris is the owner and he has a number of dog walkers, one of which lives with him. They have super affordable rates, especially if your dog can do group walks and they are so well organized. They have never missed a dog walk and are very consistent in the times that they come. Also very trustworthy and just all around really nice people that you can trust with your pets!

His email is dcpuppypt@yahoo.com (Chris is the person behind this). Highly recommend them!

Try Laura Steiner - she owns Meliora Pet Care - she and her associates are great. "Meliora Pet Care" ,
