Greetings DC Water Stakeholder:

As we approach the April 2nd conclusion of our 45-day public comment period for the Northeast Boundary Tunnel (NEBT) Environmental Assessment (EA), DC Water would like to remind all stakeholders about this upcoming project in your neighborhood and invite you to submit comments.

This 5-mile long, 23-feet diameter tunnel will convey combined sewer overflows away from local waterways and provide flood relief to chronic flood areas in the Northeast Boundary area of the District.

DC Water has held two public meetings, on October 17, 2013 and February 27, 2014, during which we shared information on the NEBT project and sought to receive public comments for inclusion in the EA for the project preceding its construction.

We ask that you please help us spread the word about the project comment period by posting the information to your respective websites, listserves and blogs.

Please be aware that the 45-day window in which you will need to submit your comments to guarantee inclusion in the final EA ends on Wednesday, April 2, 2014.  You may review the EA and submit comments in several ways.

View, download and submit comments on the EA directly at http://www.dcwater.com/NortheastBoundaryTunnelEA.
