Bloomingdale Civic Association President Teri Janine Quinn's message on last night's State of the District Address

See this message from Bloomingdale Civic Association President Teri Janine Quinn, who was on stage last night at the Lincoln Theatre for Mayor Bowser's first State of the District address:

Last night I had the honor of joining Mayor Muriel Bowser on stage as she delivered her first State of the District Address.  I was joined on stage by community leaders from all 8 Wards.  You can read the Mayor's speech here: http://mayor.dc.gov/release/mayor-bowser’s-state-district-address .

I look forward to working with neighbors near and far to identify ways we can help advance several of the initiatives Mayor Bowser highlighted last night, including  expanding MPD's use of body cameras, bringing affordable housing to all Wards, implementing the Community Stabilization Protocol and providing the resources necessary to ensure that MPD has the manpower, equipment and support necessary to keep us and our officers safe.

Best,

Teri Janine Quinn

Hopefully, Mayor Bowser took note of Jean-Christophe's question at the BCA and was referring to McMillan when she said this -

We want residents to led active lifestyles. I am committed to investing more in the Met Branch Trail, in recreation facilities, and in open spaces so that District residents of all ages have opportunities to pursue a healthy lifestyle in ways that are convenient for them.
