Dear Scott,

As one of the Bloomingdale coordinators for the LeDroit Park-Bloomingdale Heritage Trail, I received this news today from Jane Levey who helped us create the trail.  So I am happy to share with one and all that our Trail will soon be installed!!!

Congratulations, Bloomingdale!
John

My dear friends,

I’m very pleased to let you know that the footers for the LeDroit Park-Bloomingdale Heritage Trail will be dug and poured beginning Tuesday, May 26. Once they are cured, Gelberg Sign (contractor to DDOT) will install the 16 markers.

The estimated date of completion is July 6, but I’m guessing it will happen more quickly if this good weather holds (once the footers were ready, Anacostia’s trail signs were installed in just two days).

My eternal gratitude to you all for your patience, thoughtful contributions, and hard work.

Cultural Tourism DC is planning to work with you on a neighborhood celebration and also to find the funding to finish the Heritage Trail booklet, which, as you remember, was partially completed with DDOT funding in 2013. Please contact Steve Shulman and Cheryl Crowell.

Hope to see you all soon!

Yours,

Jane
