Note that the current Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) is for nine units.
....so let's see what the new owner plans for one of Bloomingdale's last untenanted apartment buildings.

What about the outdoors kung-fu practice that goes on there?
As noted, the existing building has a Certificate of Occupancy for 9 units. Of course, we don't know the plans of the new owner yet. But it should be noted that this residential building -- if it stays as nine units -- would * not * fall under the new DC Inclusionary Zoning regulations. From the DHCD website: "The District’s IZ program requires new residential development projects of ten or more units, and rehabilitation projects that are expanding an existing building by 50 percent or more and adding ten or more units to set-aside a percentage of the residential floor area for affordable units." http://dhcd.dc.gov/service/inclusionary-zoning-residential-developers
Mari, when does the outdoor kung-fu practice take place?
When the weather is nice enough. There is/was a kung fu dojo across the street. I would just see them every so often fooling around with sticks and kicks.
This property is not in Bloomingdale. It is eckington I think, or some other neighborhood.
Bloomingdale is claiming this property at 2nd and Florida Avenue NW.
