Rathinasamy" Hello Bloomingdale Kids Community and Bloomingdale Toddler Soccer friends,
It seems
like we've barely had a winter - my daffodils have been out for weeks. It's a
good visual reminder that can only mean one thing - soccer's around the corner!
We're back for 5th year and our 10th season! This year, because of the warmth
we have had and the fact that spring break for the school-age kiddos is
earlier, I'm moving the season up earlier in April - we'll be wrapped up before
the Crispus Attucks community day and Memorial Day weekend.
What Is
Bloomingdale Toddler Soccer?
This is not
a soccer league in the traditional sense since there will not be set teams and
competition. It will instead center on age-appropriate activities for kids 18
months through 4 years old that will start to build the foundation for soccer
skills, including peer interaction, listening to directions, and familiarity
with a soccer ball. There is no fee to participate (other than bringing a
soccer ball) and it is entirely volunteer-led. Much like the past seasons,
we're running a six-week season on Saturdays in Crispus Attucks Park. Our first
day will be Saturday, April 7, 2018.

As you all
know, we are fairly casual and don't take attendance week to week. However,
signing up is critical to help us project our coaching and equipment needs.

Important Notes
1) WE NEED
YOU TO COACH! Our league is accessible to all because it is entirely
volunteer-led. The most crucial role in our league is the coach who leads
activities for an age group for one week. Join the proud tradition of the 175+
excellent parents who have coached in the past seasons and kept this community
activity going! No soccer expertise necessary. If you've participated in the
past but have not coached, here's your chance!

Listserve: Some time shortly after March 26th, the toddler soccer listserve
will be refreshed to include only families signed up for the Spring 2018
season. For those of you who will not be participating in the spring, don't
worry, you will not get messages beyond the beginning of April. However, if
you'd like to stay on the list serve even if you are not participating this
season, email bloomdctoddlersoccer@gmail.com
and let me know.
