Come join us this Saturday, July 11th, for a very special Wake & Bacon comedy brunch featuring New York headliner Jon McBride and local standout Jamel Johnson. Jon is a military veteran and standup comic who can be seen at The Stand Comedy Club and The Stress Factory. Jamel is a rising star in the D.C. comedy scene, performing regularly at the Arlington Drafthouse and D.C. Improv, as well as with his musical comedy group, Romane & Lettuce.
Jon and Jamel's refreshing, off-the-cuff humor will go perfectly with Old Engine 12's fantastic brunch options, as they team up with some other great local acts to provide you with an afternoon of laughs while you enjoy a side of bacon and bottomless mimosas à la carte. Brunch starts at 2pm, and the show starts at 3pm.

About Wake & Bacon
Local comedy group LYGO (Laugh Your Grits Off) started Wake & Bacon in 2012, and it remains the Washington, D.C. area's only daytime comedy + brunch show. Wake & Bacon does not have a cover charge and is supported entirely by audience donations. Wake & Bacon happens every Saturday on the beautiful second floor of the Old Engine 12 Restaurant (1626 North Capitol St., NW). Come on by to sample some of our jokes, paired with some mouthwatering food and drinks courtesy of Old Engine 12.
