DCRA permit issued for Pub and the People

- 1648 North Capitol St. NW: A new 67-seat, 84-occupancy restaurant, The Pub and the People, in an existing tenant space. Last October, the District awarded Cornerstone Bar Group an $85,000 grant to convert the vacant building into a new restaurant to serve the Truxton Circle, Bloomingdale and Eckington neighborhoods. According to the restaurant's Facebook page, work started Monday immediately upon receipt of the permit.
