Participate in the upcoming Bloomingdale Annual Spring Clean Up & Planting Day 2016 - This Saturday April 23rd.
Participate in the upcoming Bloomingdale Annual Spring Clean Up & Planting Day 2016 - This Saturday April 23rd.
Join in - one and all - starting at 10AM at the park across from Big Bear Cafe and pitch in to beautify Bloomingdale! Spruce up your block for
Spring - come out - motivate and inspire your neighbors to
clean up your street, back alley and plant your tree boxes! Free
plants, shrubs, mulch, garbage bags and gardening supplies will be
available on a first-come first-serve basis. Trash pick up (NO BULK
TRASH) will be coordinated through out the neighborhood starting
around 1pm (at 1st & R (SW corner), 1st & Rhode Island
Avenue, NW (SE corner) and 2nd & U (SE corner)) and then all the block captains, organizers
and volunteers are invited to a pizza social at Bacio at 2pm.
So join the community to beautify Bloomingdale, celebrate Earth Day 2016 and all together welcome in Spring - finally!

*The
plants were purchased by ANC 5E (Single Member Districts 5E06, 5E07 & 5E08)
therefore, they must be planted in a public space (tree boxes, park areas,
etc.)
