Changes to more than 60 Metrobus routes coming this month

...

the G8 Rhode Island Avenue buses heading to downtown will run more frequently between the Brookland-CUA station and Farragut Square during the morning rush hour. This could help decrease crowding during the morning commute. Buses will run every six to eight minutes. But if you board the bus in Avondale, at the Maryland-D.C. line, you will have to wait a little longer. The frequency of  buses between Avondale and Brookland will be reduced to every 15 to 20 minutes between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. In the evening, buses in that stretch will run more often, every six to 12 minutes.
