is it a single family home, or sliced up into apartments? for that price, the virtual tour should be clearer - looked like multiple rental units, particularly with the bikes all over the place and multiple kitchens.
This house was sold at auction about a year ago and they have done a few things to the house, nothing substantial, and now selling it for nearly double what they paid for it. The house directly across the street from it sold for something like 1.2 million and is in incredible condition. Not sure why such a big number. I hope they get it.
The Wardman next to mine, not on a corner, just sold for over $1.2. Granted, there were some special circumstances, but quite a bit of the value is the address, not the house itself. Plus, this is a good time for sellers as no one has seen the traffic this neighborhood suffers when First Street isn't blocked in three places. Never mind the thousands of new trips for the downtown-sized monolith office buildings EYA and Jair Lynch are building on the top of First Street.

Was this "Big Blue?"
No, Big Blue is/was 2200 1st Street NW.
Note that 2301 1st St NW back in the 1990's was referred to as the Brian Logan House.

I believe there are two basement apartments, and then three floors of the main house.
Yes, there are 2 1/1 basement apartments beneath the 3-level main house.
I remember when Brian Logan owned it and he kept the yard in good shape.
