Dear Commissioner,
The United Airlines
Rock ‘n’ Roll Washington DC Marathon & ½ Marathon will take place
on Saturday, March 11, 2017. The race
begins on Constitution Avenue NW at 14th Street NW, passes many of
the capital’s most majestic sights, and finishes at RFK Stadium
grounds.
Please place this event
alert on your local community listserv so road closure information
gets the widest possible dissemination.
As part of our
community notification plan, we e-mail the race information with a
link to our road
closure website to area community and business
organizations. In addition, road closure notices will be
distributed to all accessible door fronts along and near the route a
few weeks before the race. If you would like to refer
additional business or residential group contacts
to us, we would be happy to provide personal notification by
phone or email prior to the race. Contact information can be
submitted by completing the online
community contact form on our
website.
