Dear Ward 5 Residents,

At approximately 10pm on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, there was a shooting in the 1700 block of North Capitol St NE. Councilmember McDuffie has been in contact with the 5th District Commander, William Fitzgerald regarding this incident and has requested that MPD increase patrols in this area. Councilmember McDuffie will continue to monitor this issue and will update the community as he receives additional information.
