Subject: Zoning Regulations Review (ZRR) Update - August 20, 2013
Greetings form the Office of Planning. This email provides an update regarding the current status of the Zoning Regulations Review (ZRR) process.
OP submitted a draft copy of the proposed text to the Zoning Commission on July 29, 2013. This draft, while still very much a working copy, included a number of changes to the proposed text, resulting from the input we received at the ward-based community meetings of December 2012 / January 2013 and other subsequent ANC and community meetings. We have continued to make further adjustments to improve clarity, correct references, etc.
The most current version of the proposed text is available on our website, www.DCZoningUpdate.org with links from our blogsite, www.ZoningDC.org; you may wish to watch these sites for further updates. In addition, each ANC office has been mailed a CD version of the draft proposed text, and a paper copy of the proposed draft text has been delivered for distribution to each DC public library.
The Zoning Commission is expected to take up this issue in September, but has not yet set dates for their public hearings when you can provide additional written and in-person testimony on the proposal. Each ANC will be notified of these dates once they are set by the Zoning Commission, and notices of the hearing dates will be posted on the Office of Planning and the Office of Zoning websites.
