1) See this message from the office of Ward 5 Councilmember McDuffie from last night (sorry for the tardy posting):

Subject: Pepco Update
Councilmember McDuffie wanted to provide a brief update on the outages in the Bloomingdale area. Pepco is reporting that less than ten (and possibly as few as 2-3) residents are without power on Seaton Pl., NW. Pepco has dispatched a crew and we expect power to be restored soon.
In regards to the reported outage at the school in Shaw, Pepco reports that power is back on and the outage was on the customer`s side.

2) See this flurry of tweets using the #BloomingdaleDC hashtag from last night:

  1. And power out again in as of midnight. Cmon . We've got a 4 year old's birthday party to throw in the AM.
  2. Seriously, ?? What the heck is going on in ?? And please don't say you don't know.
  3. You force all our bars to close then shut off power (AC!) when we want to sleep?! UNACCEPTABLE.
  4. residents: is now reporting that power has been restored to all customers.

  5. New outage restoration time is 10pm. While making repairs addtl customers were impacted.
  6. residents: if your power is off please notify . I think there are more outages than they're reflecting.
  7. Let there be light  ! Hurrah! AC kicking again. Movie night with the kiddos shall now commence.
  8. If your power is out, be sure to report - needs to know every address that is without power.
  9. Just spoke w/ and they're reporting 9 customers w/o power on 100 blk of Seaton Place NW. ETR is between 7-8.
  10. I'm assuming since my power just went out, it is part of a reset process and will be restored by 7? Right ?
  11. I assume 10pm is a joke on power? Its 100 degrees.

Plus this unfortunate tweet from Bacio's!

Because of we had to shutdown our store! Our machines could not handle frequent power outages and broken.
